Asnieres part 2

More from Ansieres because it truly was a memorable town to visit.

Front view of the Temple

Overview of the Temple

Typical home in Ansieres

The well of the Lavoir, just outside the entrance.
This is Michael's favorite building. It's just past the Temple as you head through town. The Lavoir is where the townspeople washed their clothes, the water always fresh from the well.

Dad at the Lavoir.
One of 2 entrances to the Lavoir. It really was quite spectacular. The water remains clean and fresh as it continoulsly circulates in and out. You can see how it's partially covered to protect from the rain while plenty of light comes in from above.

Another home in Ansieres.

Look at the cacaphony of roses growing on the wall of this house! You see these everywhere.

View of the bridge from Ansieres website.

Beyond you can glimpse a huge chateau. We tried to get pics, but from the road it's barely visible. This pic is from website. The chateau is just past the bridge.
