I was sent this by Netfix by mistake and decided to give it a try, nevertheless. Immediately I thought of Clare. As I watched the film, I continued to think about Clare - but Clare relative to her situation.

This is an inspiring story ( although somewhat sapppy at times....but hey, sappy words sometimes) about a teacher in L.A., post Rodney King, and the challenges she faced in a newly intergrated school.

Yes, it's a true story. And yes, it's "been done" (the whole teacher/unruly students thing) but I have nothing else to Post at the moment and I did like it; sappy, "done that" theme aside.

And it was good to think of Clare and all the good she does with her boys.

Mom, this was on the UConn movie channel one night so I kept it on while I cleaned, and it reminded me of Clare too!

Good Lord.

Haven't we seen this movie a few times?

Let me guess, the black kid w/the chip on his shoulder finally comes around in the end.

And the teacher THINKS she's teaching the students...

But in the end, guys? SHE learns the most.
