I've watched this video six times already...just can't get enough listening to both Luca and Frank speaking italiano. Luca: next time I see you, you have to count for me!
A couple of weeks ago Lisette and I were at the park with Maureen, Annie, Luke and Luca. Luca was playing with some trucks in the sand when, just like that, he pulled himself up into a kneeling position and began to recite the Hail Holy Queen, complete with the pounding of his chest during, "Oh Clement, Oh Loving, Oh Sweet Virgin Mary"....it was a RIOT!
I just assumed that Mary had heard about Luca's "prayers" when I read her comment.
But Lisette directed me to the second video last night...what a joy ( and hilarious) to hear him "Hail Holy Queen" again.
Let's just be clear on something... we don't sit Luca down and teach him this stuff. We say it a couple of times, with days in between, and he knows it.
Just don't want you to think we're freaky with our kids and praying.
Luca says the Our Father, Hail Mary, Hail Holy Queen, Angel of God, Oh My Jesus, and grace, unpromted and in public. Which can be hard to explain...
I can't BELIEVE I haven't commented on this yet!!!!!!!
He's the cutest little thing I have ever seen. Praying like that may not be the most "normal" thing you see a two yr old doing....but maybe it SHOULD be. Not freaky to me.

Excuse me, he knows Hail Holy Queen?? If you all have not watched that video, you must see it.
Holy Moly!
And congrats on the Italiano, Luca :)
ok, so I guess work won't let me play this for some reason, or at least it is taking forever.
I have been staring at the screen for like 10 mins in anticipation.
ooooh, work, i say, WORK!
Lordy, Luca, I am amazed. Hail Holy Queen. That $&!#'s hard!
No, but there are SO many sentences in a row to remember here. Who is this kid?
And just think, one day we can all say we knew this boy when he still had hair on his shoulders.
I WANT TO EAT HIM
Oh yeah, great title.

(And don't you LOVE the sigh?!)
Mom, did you watch the other video?

And he when he sees the wooden rosary that he's holding in the video, he calls it Brown Jesus.
In one of his Dr. Seuss books, there's a page of road signs, and one of them is a crossing sign that says "Nashville."
So today, he picked up a little crossing sign that is part of his railroad toy, and said "Nashville Jesus!"
Great name for a band, no?

I watch this once a day like it's my job. My favorite parts include, but are not limited to:
1. The rapidity with which he enumerates 1-9
2. The sigh after 15.
3. When he says "hello"!
Ann you better finish the "Idiot", he'll be at it in no time.
Do you think he'll be reading by 3?
