A Call to Arms

Frank, my man. As you know, I'm in hiding ( ok, they're calling it hiatus, but you and I both know the truth), so a call could be tricky. Blogging is safer; CTU is so busy saving the world that they haven't the time to blog.

So, Frank, my man, seems we've been dissed. You, me, your logo guy Pettite.

What's the world coming to when we are not appreciated; those of us who venture on a daily basis where few would be so dumb to go, and those of us who go the distance to uphold what is good and valuable and worth reading, when so few will take the time or make the effort?

It's a burden, my friend: to have so many depend on us. But it's a burden we must carry with grace and honor. Because (humility, take a back seat here) without me, any given 24 might spell disaste. And without you ( humility, sit next to your clone), Brewsters Millions would most certainly be dull and drab.

A new Logo seems fitting. A re-invention of your former self, so to speak. Remember my not-so-dead life? Hey, it happens.

So, from one almost-silenced comrade to another, listen to Scarlett and tout loudly:

TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY!

Agent Bauer:
I will write fast because I know you are most likely running out of time for something or another and I know what you do to people who don't give you the information you need. Please do not electrocute me with my reading lamp.

Damnit, Jack. How can you be so out of touch? While you were out playing dead or on sabbatical in China or saving the world again, the rest of us were here at our computers making this blog work, performing everyday miracles and trying to actually build something, Jack. The true burden is the exhaustion and demand of steadfast determination. So don't think there's an "us" here, okay? There was no "us" when it came to me and Pettitte and there's no "us" when it comes to you and me. People like you and Andy are so single minded, so self absorbed and freaking sure of yourselves, that you don't see the impact you have on people around you, people who love you and who want so desperately to be there for you. People like me, Jack.

So go ahead and shoot me in the kneecaps or bite through my jugular but remember this. We all have logos, Jack. But not all of us hide behind them.
