Hopefully this will be the last! But more than that, we dare to hope that this surgery will not just go well, but will the help of our sweet friends St. Raphael and St. Luke will result in Luca's tone normalizing, the number one reason why Luca has physical difficulties.
Why not ask?
I'm sorry to repeat myself to any whom I've told this to, but when I was pregnant with Luca every night among my simple, repetitive prayers, I prayed to St. Raphael to cover the opening in Luca's back with something, physical or spiritual, to protect his spinal cord. We know now that this is exactly what happened, to the amazement of everyone who bore the news to all of us waiting during the surgery. And they have yet to find any definitive evidence of nerve damage in this child who was supposed to be paralyzed from the thighs down.
So, we will be saying another novena to St. Raphael (patron saint of healing, and um, and archangel) and St. Luke (patron of doctors, healing and artists).
I'll post the ones we're saying separately, as they get lost since for some reason I can't bold right now.
Love to you all!!!
(he's singing "dance dance dance all night long")

This is the sweetest thing I have ever seen, God Bless Luca, my love.
And everyone should watch the video where he reads the birthday card. Amazing.
I saw the Birthday card video on Saturday. Maybe he could tutor Maggie??
Oh my goodness he's amazing. I squealed at the end of the birthday card video when he grins to show "happy."
I will have to check out these again on another computer so I can HEAR them! My sound has to be fixed...but I can tell hoe cute Luca must be, I love you Luca!!!!
