At the end of last season, Stags were generating this kind of enthusiasm as they took their first ever City Basketball Championship in their division:
They went on to win the State Championships in their division and came within one game from winning it all in the "Champions of Champions" tournament, losing to Upper West Side neighborhood rival, Collegiate.
Garnering headlines like this:
"St. Agnes wins again"
The Stags are in the middle of their most successful season ever! 10-2, (exclusively on the road, of course) the boys are undefeated in their division, with both losses to outside teams. Despite the loss of powerful senior players, the Stags are thriving in their third year under Coach Dolan.Tomorrow at 4pm, Stags will walk five blocks south for a rematch with Collegiate. Let's see how these poor Catholics do against $30,000 a year Orangemen. (Psst, that means their Protestant.) Can't wait!
This is class warfare Marx would be proud of. Sans the religion, of course.
Go Stags!

GO STAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What fun! We're all rooting!!
And???????
I just found it online (don't ask)
Great game for Javon Rolling though (20 pts)
You guys are so cute finding in online!
Well, humility is one of the necessary virtues. They just had a trio of 6'5'' very good players and they played like a well oiled machine. Damn Protestant work ethic.
I haven't seen any other games, but Coach assured us that they were just out of sorts. Beyond Javon, I got to give it to 5'2'' sophomore point guard Emmanuelle who is scrappy as scrappy gets and knows no fear for his size.
It's good for them to know that there is serious works yet to be done.
Any way, Go Stags.
Yeah, but sometimes it's just soooo good to WIN.
Next time, Stags!
