I lost my job yesterday. 20% of the company did, yikes. Including 3 out of 5 of us in my department. But I've known for a month now that layoffs were coming and I felt pretty sure our group would take a big hit. Plus, I was planning to leave after the baby is born anyway. Still, it feels pretty strange.

Wow, Mars. Mixed feelings about this for you. I guess it's not so bad since you were planning on leaving, but getting laid off is never good. it's always better to leave a job on your own terms. Still, you'll have plenty of work with 3 little ones! Still can't believe you're pregnant.
The Hoopered our asses?? You think they fired Hooper once too?!
Oh and this was not meant to be a dramatic post or anything. I'm fine. We'll be fine with the new situation. Mostly I wanted an excuse to post that picture. If you can read the sign (click on it) it's pretty funny. I walked into work yesterday to see that in the conference room next to me.
Norm, you're sweet. Thanks for the note.
Yowzaz! When you mentioned the possibility of this last month, I didn't realize how fast it would really happen! Not so sunny days on Sesame Street.
Hey, someone had to say it.
Also, what happens to the intern? Does she get the boot and loose her course credits? Just lookin' out for my people.
frickin commies.
Sorry to hear this,Mars. Things happen for a reason, tho,eh? Hope you gots a good severance pack!!
Yay for the wee ones....
Ok, no, Hooper died. Not really the same. But one day there was Hooper, then just Hoopers store and they had to explain it to the kids.
Who's going to explain to Luca why his run at fame via the Sesame Street Magazine has come to an end? Who?
