The answer seems perfectly clear to me. Luca was reading my comment on "the full court press" while standing on his head and looking at the words in a mirror. He thought a moment and said: "I'm not tall enough for basketball, but with my Italian background I'll be a natural at soccer."

He LOVES sports. Baseball #1, B-Ball (as he calls it, or hoops alternately) #2. And Soccer #3.
It's a league for kids with special needs. They pair them up with an older mentor and they do drills, learn soccer skills, scrimmage sometimes and just all around have fun.
He gets a uniform, a new soccer ball and shin guards. We're dying over here, naturally.
