"I wish I was a man in 1250!"

We all know Lisette has always been a little different. We've seen it at Christmas, or before some party she's planning -- is "obsessed" the right word?

Lisette's been reading a series beginning with the book "Here Be Dragons." I don't know much about it, except that it is the reason Clare began to study medieval history, and that Lisette read the whole series while listening to the soundtrack music from "Castaway" and crying. She'd recently ordered the next set of books in the series when we went to a Fourth of July barbecue on Friday. After a brief air band stint atop a chair, she was about to sit herself down and continue our card game when the theme for "Pirates of the Caribbean" came on. She had no idea what the music was from, she just knew that it was the best riding-into-battle song she'd ever heard . . . as you'll soon find out.

Given her recent choice in literature, you can only imagine how much it meant to her to find her warrior theme song. It only bothered her a little to find that many people at the party didn't understand what she was talking about.

Clare understands.

Midway through the video, Clare the medieval history teacher's only comment was: "What an idiot! You can't use a longbow while riding a horse, you have to stand to use that thing!"

It's lengthy, but it's worth the time.

"Oh, a battle's starting??"

HA!! Classic Lisette! I'm so glad she was finally caught on video :)

"Don't you want to be a big legend?!?"

Aloise, I expect a sequel.

Work has blocked me from viewing the video, and I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Either way, this won't be forgotten, Aloise. Mark my word.

PS - While "Castaway" was the second soundtrack piece I listened to with this series, the first, the chupacabra, the crem de la crem, was "Meet Joe Black," by James Horner. Heavenly.

OMG........
Lisette, you're a freak and I love you!
I should have never introduced you girls to "soundtrack" music. Remember I used to get made fun of for listening to it? But it's completely beautiful, right?

Hey..at least I never acted it out...at least I THINK I haven't...

Mojo, I always said Lisette should have joined us on stage. Pitty, the world has been robbed.

Llewelyn and Joanna are hitting it off, Lisette,
but I'm still wanting to reach for Alison Weir's "Eleanor of Acquataine" and "The War of the Roses".
Still, if this video is any indication of what lies ahead...I should probably finish the "Here be Dragons" series.
Oh, decisions, decisions!
