Happy Birthday, Martha!

With so much going on this past week, I was afraid I would forget Martha's Birthday. So I wrote myself some reminders.

And then last evening, just before leaving for 7 o'clock Mass, I thought it might be OK to hang up the family Birthday Balloon. You know, in case I forgot to do it later. And I almost did. But I couldn't. That little voice in me said, "No! It isn't her birthday yet." As though anyone would even know. So I put away the temptation and planned to do as I always do...leave it for last thing before bed...in CASE the birthday person should HAPPEN to wander into the house before dawn. (OMG! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?)

This morning I came down to the kitchen and saw the yellow sticky I had left yesterday. But there was NO balloon hanging from the light fixture! After ALL of that....!
