Thank you so much for my party on Sunday. Kinda made me forget that today is my real life birthday! Not unlike in my youth - my birthday just too much of a hassle, coming so close to Christmas. My 11th? Celebrated in February. What? But it was one of my funnest. Still, Lita always made sure I had at least one gift on my real birthday - so that was good.
Also good to hear that my birth-day isn't the pain I thought it was for all of you - that some have said the date ushers in Christmas week and family get-togethers.
So that's one gift I can give you on my birthday. Another? That every year - no matter what - I bring with me the shortest day of the year FOLLOWED by every day - until my next birthday - being lighter. Not too shabby, huh?
PS Aloise: you are one fine cook, my girl. David's a lucky man, unlike Dad when we first married. I knew squat about cooking! Hahaha!
You're one of the most important peolpe in our lives. Not sure what I'd do with out you.
