Two Inches of Snow? We'll Take it!

We have had noooooo snow this year. Maggie is very morose about this. So the other morning when we woke up to just under 2 inches, we threw on her snow gear at 7AM and ran out because it had already turned to rain, and I wanted her to get some playtime this year!
The truck cap was the first thing she passed exiting the garage and she shrieked and smacked it yelling, "SNOW!"

Her attempt at a snowman.

Our sad little castle that utilized the snow of at least half of our small front yard.

The snow was slush by the time we came in an hour later, but Maggie had pink cheeks, and soggy snowpants and gloves, and a big smile on her face.

Hahaha! Love the little snowman :)
I remember how excited Maggie was when she saw her new boots - the girl does love snow.

Nice post, Nora. And baby Aloise? Hahahaha some more!

Maggie don't be old enough to be morose. Sad, upset, OK, but she ain't morose.

Well, she got a book from the library about a boy named Martin McGregor who wants only to build a snowman. Every month goes by and no snow until a freak storm in April. Prior to this, he spends his time makeing snowmen out of mashed potatoes, cotton balls and shaving cream, all the while bemoaning his lack of real snow.

A couple of weeks ago, after pouting all morning she flopped her elbows on the counter and sighed, saying, "I feel like Martin McGregor!"

Any prominse of the stuff in CT??? Maybe we should take a drive!

Not picking on you,Nora. But I looked up morose and it said "sullen" among other things, and I wont allow any grandchild of mine to be sullen. Plus, I know Maggie and she's anything but sullen.
