Later

After almost 2 weeks of constant work, the room is almost done.
We are not stripping the floor but painting it instead. Too much lead in the previous paints (3 layers of different colors I think) and the wood itself is not very pretty to look at. Yesterday Dad spent all afternoon scrubbing the floor. Presently he is stripping as much of the paint as possible. After the floor is painted I'll be getting some throw rugs to warm everything up.

Dad is also painting the inside of the closets. I'm happy to keep bridesmaids dresses but will ask each of you which ones you want to ditch. Lisette: you will need to help me do something about all the other dresses, etc. that have found a home in my closet and should probably be evicted.

And, at least for now, the curtains are going to stay. Down the road I may ask Cathi to make some new ones.
