Happy Birthday Maureen!

You were 2 here and I used to get so many compliments about your "shag" haircut. It was very much in vogue at that time (think Carol from the Brady Bunch) and people thought I purposely styled your hair that way. I didn't. You had never had your hair cut; this is how it naturally grew.
I also had warnings about the "terrible 2's" which I could never understand. A little bit of your crazy personality began to appear at this age, but "terrible 2's"? No. Not my Maureen.


Here you are a year later. Look at how your hair has grown! (Take note, Lucia: you too will have hair one day). Moping the driveway was a good thing. Mopping the kitchen floor after you poured a gallon of cooking oil on it was not.
The terrible 3's had begun.
