Wednesdays with Leo

As Lisette reported, Leo was somewhat put out by Poppi's "I don't feel like talking now; I need some alone time" but quickly got over this, as is natural for Leo.
He told me a few weeks ago about times when he's sad or upset: "When I want the grown-ups to play with me", ( the grown-ups being Frank and Annie), "they're always taking a shower. So I walk and walk around the house and then I forget about it."

Last Wed. was a beautiful, warm day. Leo and I spent quite a lot of time at the park (being super-heroes; in a future post I will tell you about my new identities!) and then, once home, more time outdoors. We had just been talking about the hammock "How come it isn't here, Ma?", when Dad came out to greet us. Immediately he asked Leo if he wanted to go with him to get the hammock and put it up. The sight of Leo running behind Dad was precious; they were friends again :)

Hammock installed, Dad and Leo put it to use. With the sun glaring in Leo's eyes, Dad asked that I find one of his hats to wear.
Dad adjusted the hat and placed it on Leo's head.
At which point, Leo, touching the brim, turned to Poppi and said: "Howdy partner!"
