An afternnoon with Jonathan

I wish I had thought to have my camera out when Martha and Lucia met Jonathan and Katie. And I wish I had had my camera with me every time I saw Willie and Jonathan walking and talking together, like old pals.
But at times like these, you get caught up in the moments; a camera on the ready not the first thing that comes to mind.
Catherine, Jonathan and Katie spent the day together yesterday.  Jonathan wanted to see where Catherine grew up so Cat brought him and his sister to the house to spend the afternoon. After touring the house, ~"I slept in every one of the bedrooms", Cat told the kids, ~ Maureen, Willie, (Jonathan had specifically asked if Will could hang out with them) and Lucia stopped by.

It was cloudy and drizzling; but kids don't care about that when it comes to swimming.
Eventually the sun came out and what a beautiful afternoon we had.

Just before I had a chance to warn Jonathan about our topsy-turvy hammock, he took a spill!  Charlie? You know all about hammock spills, don't you:)  Still, the hammock became a favorite place to lounge.

Dad's garden was a hit. Jonathan could not stop eating the snap peas. Soon enough, everyone was in on the act.

Diane emailed Catherine today to tell her how happy the kids were when they returned home:

Not that I would expect anything different from Jonathan, being a 13 year old boy - he is still asleep at 8:30... but Katie is the earlybird - and she's still asleep too!!! They had such a great time yesterday.  They said they met Martha and her daughter at Ma and Pop's house.  We ran an errand to my parent's house last nite and J couldn't wait to have them taste the honey and told them about pop's garden and how big the house is!!

What a joy these kids are. I can't wait for all of you to meet Jonathan...and Katie, who is such a sweetheart.
Can we ever thank God enough for this miracle?

And so seamless. I can't believe it was so seamless. He made everything so easy. God has a plan for us all, that is for sure.
