This could have been my reaction.
But it wasn't.
Because Dad was talking about how nice it is to have "people coming in and out" while he mused about visitors this summer.
Aloise arrives tomorrow night and will be here for 3 weeks.
So he began asking and speculating about Clare and Brent and the Brewsters and Buri's and O'Mahoneys.
But then he paused and said it: "It isn't that I'm getting bored with you...."
