Anyway, Dave (who advanced from Lieutenant Junior Grade to Lieutenant on Monday, by the way!) e-mailed this morning to tell me that some Polish reporters arrived while they were in port to do a news bit on their ship, the USS Normandy. Since he was on watch at the time, he was selected to be on "Polish TV" (that's the best description he could give me). Pretty cool! He was interviewed about their helicopter, and his officer in charge found some photos from the article and e-mailed them to me.
You stud, you.
Not half bad for a guy still in his probationary period.

You must really miss him, Aloise.
Dave, way to earn some points :)
FINALLY something from and about Aloise and Dave! It's been almost a year since your marriage and I think this is the first post we've gotten.
My thoughts have been with you these past few weeks but I'm happy for email and video stuff that you 2 are able to do; a lot different from the days Dad sailed.
But Aloise....he really is having more fun than you are.
Congrats on the promotion, btw.
And here I thought you had to make commander before you could stand around with your hands in your pockets. The good news is when you come up in July the board will convene and see about getting you off probation status.
Dave you are so super cool!
way super cool!
Congratulations on the promotion, Dave! Can't wait to see you both in July.
Congratulations Dave!
Rad dude!!
Yeah, I'm kind of a big deal . . .
