Happy Birthday, Aloise!

When you were here last July, I passed by the bathroom as you were getting ready to go to Mary's for Lady Jane's baptism celebration.  As happens often, I was struck by how elegant you had become.  





I think I said something like, "You really are all grown up, aren't you?" 

It never fails; the years between now and then still give me pause.

For me there is no Aloise without Brent and vice-versa; at least that's the way it's been since you both left. This has been especially true this summer.  And so these 2 pictures on your birthday, Aloise.

But it IS your birthday!  And so I cropped Brent out of this one :)  

I love this picture.  It is happy and colorful and it very much says to me "Aloise" as I see you today.  Bright, lovable, confident and truly you.
