Congratulations to Joey and Theresa
So nice to spend time with family, both ours and Norma's. The Hacienda, where we all stayed (in Old Town, San Diego) had a common courtyard outside of our rooms, everything Mexican inspired, so that we were able to sit and visit (all of us in our pj's very early Saturday morning) and spend time together before and after the festivities. We were a motley crew walking to breakfast Saturday - Brent, Norma, David, Laura (with baby Clare) Zeeker, Dawn, Caitlin, Chris (with Gemma) Reid, Chris, Mary, Jennifer and many from Norma's side of the family) - very "California" in that all of us would have been barely presentable anywhere else.
Joey and Theresa had a Latin Nuptial Mass, simple and beautiful, followed by a reception ~ Mariachi Band included ~ within walking distance of the Hacienda. Dad and I ducked out by 11:30 as we were operating on minimal sleep and had a long day ahead of us. We found 3 pizza boxes in the courtyard the following morning, Chris telling us that they had partied with pizza and 3 bottles of wine until almost 3 a.m. Brent added, "Norma barely has a pulse."
It was a beautiful wedding and a happy weekend.
