Happy Birthday, Maureen!

Even with those owl glasses, you were a beauty. 

 You were almost 4 here.  This was around the time your "mischievous and teasing genes" began to develop; looks can be so deceiving :)

You were a wild one, Maureen.  But you got such enjoyment out of life ~ always ready to take on the moment and the day ~ always wanting those around you to share in the newness of what you were experiencing. 

Around you, life was never dull. 
  

Your greatest gift is what you bring to children. You had and have such a magnetism with them.  You were the pied piper of Field Road park (now Ma's Park, named by Andrew).  If you were there, the children followed.  But your gift of goodness was not limited to children.  I wrote "there's something about Mary" in Mary's post but it was Mary who, coming home from having spent some time with you at your home, said to me, "Wow. That Maureen.  There's something really special about her."
