Happy Birthday, Aloise!

Little girl.  I know you are a "people" now but no matter how old you are, you will always be "little girl" to me.

And yet.

You are grown and beautiful and very much your own woman now; a good daughter, sister, wife and friend.  

Still.

I can't help but wish that I could walk outside and see this pose of you with Mary in the flesh. 

I'll never forget Lisette, at your wedding reception,  referring to you as "my pet".   I think you were that, in a sense, to everyone in the family.  

Granny's pet as well. She said she were "sweet as honey". 

Jimmy?  Not so cute here. You? Adorable.
