My Favorite Christmas Activity

What, Lisette, this little thing? No big deal.

You betcha that's 6 gingerbread Buris standing out front. Too bad Jane and I aren't pictured here. She with a butterscotch hair bow and a candycane jumper. And me with my glittery dress made of silver drageés. That ginger chick with the big blue eyes is Adela. Self-styled as always.

You can see I'm a kind mother and let the kids go to town on decorating. But I kept it sane with things like candy cane tiling and interior window lighting made of crushed butterscotch.

The marshmallow snow is a little sloppy. But the variety of evergreens quite makes up for it I believe.

They also made a gingerbread of Clare but I bit off the head.

This equally thrills and infuriates me. D and I made a cute little gingerbread house one Sunday night (it was from a kit. WE HAVE LIVES!) and I was quite proud until I saw this. Certain props go to the chimney crafted by Charlie.

Eh, I give it a 6/10.

A kit. That makes me chuckle.

Also, there was no gingerbread Clare. That was Chad's head you bit off. And we were wondering who the hell did that.

this is almost as good as our's of years ago.
the one we kept.
the one that melted off the top of the china cabinet...where we kept it so cali wouldn't eat it
but one shouldn't count of gingerbread houses lasting through summer weather.
sigh.
I immediately noticed the chimney.
good work, charlie :)
