I spoke to Maureen just a little bit ago, before checking the blog. She thanked me again for taking her to see Maureen and the family last night - said "I feel so full" - which was the exact, perfect way to express her response to such a grace-filled experience.
Last night, as we all sat in and waited for Mass to begin, young Maureen said, in a quiet and joyful voice, "Mom, you're free".
Yes, Maureen in free! What a glorious truth.
For the rest of us, though, a world without that dear, lovely woman is going to be a much sadder place to live.
