For a few more days, Maureen and Clare are both still 35 years old. This brings back memories of younger days surrounding those times. Here's a classic:
Who knows who started it or why, but shortly after Maureen was born Dad and I began to call her "Scoopie". And we called her this all the time. Versions of the same were, "Scoops" and "Scoopie on the poopie". Yes, I know, parents say strange things.
On one ocassion, after Clare came along, we were visiting with Granner and Lita and "Scoopie" crept into our vocabulary. Lita was horrified! "Scoopie!", she exclaimed to Dad, "WHY would you call her Scoopie!"
Dad, always one to take the bait and add a punch, answered, "Oh! We always call Maureen Scoopie and now they're the "Scoop Sisters". And all Lita could do was give us a LOOK that would kill.
We were not detered ... and Lita never mentioned it again.
35 years later and we still remember the Scoop Sisters.

Hahaha, Scoopie on the poopie, that was you Mojo!
When I came along we went by the more dignified "Scoop Sisters". That could be a Motown act, sans blue eyes and blonde hair.
Scoopie on the poopie, mojo. Fitting, I say.
Hahahahahahahahaha. Cy, open your mouth and close your eyes. I have a great surprise.
By the way, what's a diddy?
Yeah, what is a diddy?
scoopie on the poopie wasn't QUITE said to be just MY name, Clao. And let's not let this be a new nickname of some sort, shall we?
(thanks,mom!)
NOT fitting....:)
omigosh...I DID write diddies. Didn't mean to. Had been thinking about song ditties ( don't ask) having nothing to do with the post, and kind of rushed through the post. oops. Will delete.
And, btw, the post was Dad's idea, said he wanted to do but didn't have pics so would I? And HE reminded me of "scoopie on the poopie" which, of course, was a Dad original.
Forget scoopie on the poopie. Scoopie and Scoops was the main event!
Mo got a new pic! Hah!
Sorry, no. Scoopie on the poopie isn't going ANYWHERE.
Take it from someone who knows.
