I have started baking my own bread and here is my first loaf. I have an awesome bread machine and, thanks to Sean's kitchen connections, a 50lb bag of organic milled wheat flour. I am so looking forward to experimenting, but mostly to having fresh bread all the time and knowing exactly what's in it.
Next up, raw milk and cheese along with eggs from grass-fed chickens courtesy of a local farm that delivers. Can't wait to try it :)

Bring a loaf when you come in October! I made some beer bread this summer (so simple and yummy and fatty) and got really excited to try lots of breads. Alas, I haven't tried to make any yet.
Looks soooooo yummy!
I made applesauce today.
Do those "bread making machines" really work?
I added a picture of the machine so you could see what a beauty it is. And yes, they really work. Simply add the ingredients and push a couple of buttons. It goes through steps of kneading and rising and finally baking (taking just under 4 hours) and then you just pop it out and let it cool.
It comes with recipes, and you can also simply make the dough and shape it as you will (pizza, rolls, bagels, etc.) to bake in the oven. You can also make jam??? and there is a recipe and setting for gluten free bread since it needs to be kneaded differently. Ann, I hope to test that out for Barbara before I come up, so I should be able to bring you a loaf or two.
And for Chad's party...zucchini bread. Not Granny's recipe (sigh) but hopefully it tastes good.
Yummy!!
Uhhh YUM. Homemade pizza dough? Yes plez!
