Lucky #53!

I can only assume this article was written because Somers is building the "Shady Lake Retirement Center," (Probably the creepiest name -- it's bound to be haunted. Did that boy really die from diving into the lake??) and has just added a Geislers (Yahoo!!! Mom doesn't need to go into "town" anymore to get bread and butta!). Either way, I thought this article might make Dad appreciate living in a town he hates, yet has been residing in for over 25 years.

Probably not, though.

"The Cultural Commission hosts everything from art shows to tea parties to an annual concert series." Mom, we missed the tea parties! SHIT!

Who knew?

And...other helpful hints:

* Pick up little broken pieces of glass: use a dry cotton ball.

* Get Rid of Ants: Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it home, and can't digest it so it kills them. May take a week or so to work.

* Crispy Pizza crust: Reheat leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet, set heat med-low and heat till warm.

* Reduce Static Cling: Pin a small saftey pin to the seam of your slip/dress/skirt/slack and static is gone.

* Foggy windshields: Use a chalkboard eraser ( keep in your car's glove compartment). Works better than cloth.

* Measuring cups: Before your pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill it with hot water. Dump our water, but don't dry cup. Next, add your sticky ingredient. Voila!

* Fruit Flies: Fill a small glass with 1/2" of Apple Cider Vinegar. Mix with 2 drops of dishwashing liquid. Flies are drawn into cup.

* Expand frosting: When buying a container of cake frosting, whip it in your mixer for a few minutes. It will double in size ( plus less sugar per serving).

* Beach sand: Sprinkle yourself with baby powder when you're ready to leave the beach. Sand slides right off your skin.

* Flexible vacuum: To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge, add an empty paper towel or gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be flattened to get into narrrow openings.

* Shaving legs: Use hair conditioner. It's a lot chaepr and leaves legs very smooth.

* Reheating pancakes, biscuits or muffins that were refrigersted: Place them in a microwave with 1 cup water. The increased moisture will keep food moist and help it reheat faster.
