Settling in...

Before I get to the main event - the house - here are 2 pics of the newly stained pool deck. Cy put in 3 afternoons (with Cathi's help) to get this done. See the hand prints? That was Cyrus last spring.

As you can see, it's all beginning to come together. Window casings, trim, baseboard, all of that still left to do. What you can't see in this picture are the small recessed lights ( 2 rows of 3) that span the ceiling past the kitchen to the living area. Behind the couch on the right is where Cy took down the wall that separated the dining area from the living room. Behind the kitchen, towards this room, is a bar counter ( yet unfinished) that will have stools for eating. All around and under and above that area are new cupboards for storage. I didn't take a picture of that because it's where everything needed for remodeling is being placed. Cy and Cathi now have to pick and area rug and curtains to complete the decor. And THEN, to their delight, they can finally put things on the walls!

Cy put up the chandelier on Wed. and finished installing 4 more small recessed lights in the dining room. That large piece is either being sold or being moved to the larger wall on the right. Heaters have to be re-installed and windows, baseboard etc. And then the area rug and curtains and wall decos. Isn't this a lovely room? To the left of this table is where Cy took down the wall that leads to the stairs.

And here we are upstairs in the boys' playroom which extends all the way to the other side of the stairs.

This was the old kitchen upstairs, now a bedroom for the boys. There is also the larger bathroom- across from this room - and the Master Bedroom around the corner from this room

Here's the shower Cy installed in downstairs bathroom. A lighter color than what you see on the ceiling is what he has on the walls.
