Dad, you have taken the time for me and my family in the past few months in a way that has brought me total joy. Lucia and Gianlorenzo are so comfortable and enamored by you, that my heart swells a little too much to even think about. That barumpity rump of your pick up up my driveway is both expected and delighted in, and I hope it never stops.You have become the man in our lives in a whole new way, and your presence in our mornings in the sun is a newfound familiarity that we all have come to love.

And the time you hosted our Homeschool Scouts Group was just the cherry on top. The event was "Worm Composting: A Visit to Mr. Brewster's Garden"
The thing is, to know you is to love you. And Dad, I know you better, and I have to say, I love you all the more.
Thank you for taking the time for me, and thank you thank you thank you for taking the time for my kids. We adore you.

I loved reading this. As a bystander in this so cool venture, I had glimpses of what was going on ~ and tales, many tales from Lucia, of course.
Who knew that a phone call to you, "Would Lucia want a few chicks?" would turn into such a special adventure, heart an soul.
